Whistl has announced that Parcelhub has opened a new depot in Leeds to meet the demand for its parcel consolidation and multi-carrier solutions from West Yorkshire-based ecommerce retailers.
The 11,000 sqft depot is located on the Confederation Park, Lowfields Road, with easy access to the M621, and joins Parcelhub’s other Yorkshire-based depot near Sheffield.
The site will initially be operated by 13 employees of which 10 already work with the company. As the site grows, the operations will generate more job opportunities, including supervisors, collections drivers, and warehouse operators.
Additional investment has been made in electric vehicle charging points for Parcelhub’s new Maxus eDeliver 9 electric vans.
Whistl has opened several Parcelhub branded depots in recent years with the latest in September in Smethwick, West Bromwich. Other sites cover the East and West Midlands, East London, and Essex.
