Whistl, the UK's leading logistics specialists in e-fulfilment, contact centers, mail, and parcels has been awarded the second Northern Ireland Government postal contract following a competitive process run by the Department of Finance’s Central Procurement Directorate (CPD).
The contract for up to five years follows on from the first contract awarded to Whistl in 2016. It covers a wide number of government and public sector bodies including those in, Education, Health, Finance, Colleges, and Transport, and sees Whistl collect sort, and transport mail to Royal Mail for doorstep delivery.
Whistl’s Northern Ireland sortation depot is based in Hightown Industrial Estate in Newtownabbey, Belfast. It also employs drivers who collect mail from across the whole of Northern Ireland and bring it to the depot for processing.
Whistl has been operating in Northern Ireland since 2010 and is the only alternative national postal operator in the province for clients including banks and utilities.
We are delighted that we have again won the contract on our ability to provide a cost-effective quality service that will benefit the Northern Ireland taxpayer through lower postal costs.
